Every child deserves access to high quality educational opportunities beyond their classroom walls. These enriching experiences inspire curiosity, discovery, and the love of learning. Wheels to Learning supports these opportunities for Windham County students, and the simple application process makes it easy for schools to access this transportation funding. Since its inception, the Wheels to Learning program has provided over $203,349 of transportation grants benefiting approximately 23,818 students. These grants were provided to 39 schools for 386 field trips to 21 different educational venues. Modeled after Wheels to Learning in Windham County, Wheels to Learning Vermont was launched by the Vermont Standard in the 2025-26 school year. In its inaugural year, Wheels to Learning Vermont funded 34 field trips across four school districts to 18 unique venues.
